SHOE PORN THURSDAY: Givenchy

Givenchy mules first debuted last year in New York Fashion Week on the Spring/Summer 2016 runway, where it caused that notorious Candice Swanepoel & other model’s fashion week fall.  Nonetheless, these Italian-made Givenchy mules are exquisitely beautiful, featuring a lizard-effect and smooth metallic leather.  Pair these with a colorful, monochromatic outfit to accentuate the silver heels.

SHOE PORN THURSDAY: Givenchy

Oh, leather & lace, you never get old, do you?  Check out these perforated white leather mules by Givenchy.  With a 4 inch heel, these beauties would look amazing styled with a pair of oversized culottes or a flowing, below-the-knee A-line skirt.  Personally, I love the white, as it blends perfectly with the leather and lace combo, but the boot equivalent is available in black here, if that’s more your style.

SHOE PORN THURSDAY: Givenchy

Sometimes, your eyes scan over shoes and take a second look, then a third, and before you realize it, you’ve been drooling all over your leather Gucci blouse.  Okay, you know you’d never actually drool on that, but I digress…  These Givenchy Leather Chain T-Strap Sandals made me do almost that.  They exude a unique sex appeal with its subtle chain details, shape, and leather material.

Best of Paris Fashion Week (to date)

It’s hard to believe Paris fashion week is almost coming to an end, marking the end of the top fashion weeks around the globe.  Despite the fact we still have a few amazing shows to look forward to (ahem, Saint Laurent, Chanel, Valentino, Alexander McQueen, MiuMiu- to name a few…), there has been so many amazing collections, I couldn’t resist showing the highlights.  Some of the main fashion trends I noticed for Spring/Summer are minimalism, tons of leather and lace, and very feminine silhouettes and shapes, many reminiscent of the 1920’s and 1950’s.

Dolce & Gabanna’s F/W ’12-13 Collection

Balmain’s F/W ’12-13 Runway Looks

Balmain, Balmain, Balmain…  You’ve done it again.  I simply adore their collection for Fall/Winter 2012, full of beautiful symmetrical patterns and intricate, feminine details.  Balmain, forever known for their glam rock style, incorporated these prints into high hemlines, silver and gold, and altogether glitz.  Of course, other high-end designers also incorporated this trend into their collections, such as Andrew Gn, Givenchy, and Dolce & Gabanna.  Unfortunately, if you are like me, you probably don’t have thousands of dollars to shell out on some designer baroque-inspired apparel.

Oh, but do not fret, my friends!  I have listed below various ways to incorporate this trend into your fall wardrobe, without breaking the bank.

Wear this black and gold pencil skirt with minimal accessories and a smoky eye for an evening out.  You can purchase it here.

This ASOS shirt is reminiscent of Balmain’s ornate flower pattern, and yet is only $26.  Find it here.
