Givenchy mules first debuted last year in New York Fashion Week on the Spring/Summer 2016 runway, where it caused that notorious Candice Swanepoel & other model’s fashion week fall. Nonetheless, these Italian-made Givenchy mules are exquisitely beautiful, featuring a lizard-effect and smooth metallic leather. Pair these with a colorful, monochromatic outfit to accentuate the silver heels.

What do you think of these heels? How would you style them?
I have to hand it to Dolce & Gabbana for theirunbelievable detailed shoes, always on trend with the theme for their season’s collection. Who could forget their wood & leather sandals or their African-inspired wedges? And, of course, there’s no beating Italian shoes.
Check out these Sicilian folklore pumps. Their elegant and classic design brings out the amazing piece of art covering the shoe. Wear these shoes with a white or cream pantsuit for work, or with a feminine A-line dress for play.
Funny side note on Dolce & Gabbana:When my wonderful parents came to visit me in New York, we walked down Madison Avenue. As we were walking past the Dolce & Gabbana store, my dad said, “I know Dolce means ‘candy’ or ‘sweet’ in Spanish, so what does ‘Gabbana’ mean?” So adorable.
Recently, I came across Italian shoe label Duccio Venturi Bottier. The shoe’s silhouette, cut and shape, and versatility stuck out to me. The 25 year old designer, Aliai Venturi Quattrini, works with her father, Duccio Venturi, who worked alongside Sergio Rossi for 20 years, to produce some of the most well-crafted and beautiful heels and boots from the Marche region in Sicily (a region legendary for its cobblers).
This pair of pony skin and leather ankle boots stuck out to me, with its unique color and texture, and elegant cut. These are a great transitional bootie for the fall season, as they would look chic paired with cropped white cigarette-cut jeans, as well as with a midi-skirt and leggings.

I am having trouble thinking of any colors these booties wouldn’t complement… What do you think of them?
Once in a while, a designer pops up on my radar who astonishes me with their creative and unique designs. Let me introduce you to an Italian-based company known as Casadei. To my surprise, their sky-high heels are actually designed to be comfortable, as most come equipped with hidden platforms that still allow the shoe to look light and elegant (see above), as well as a leather sole, which makes the heels easier to walk in. I adore the comic book infusion, and this shoe will make a statement with any outfit. Sure, they also come equipped with a hefty price tag, but at least the one of a kind heels will be worth it.
