Burberry Spring/Summer 2016 Runway

Capes were all over the Fall/Winter 2015 runways, and the trend easily transitioned to the Spring and Summer 2016 runway, with the introduction of cape dresses, tops, ponchos, and sleeveless vests.  

There were robe-inspired capes as sleeves at Zuhair Murad; flowing, long capes as the trains of gowns at Guo Pei; sheer, floor-length capes worn separately over dresses and jumpsuits at Chanel; and capes as sleeves to the gowns at Ralph & Russo.  Capes infuse the class & glamour of the 1920’s into a modern look that feels new and reinvented.

The Sexiest Red Heels for Every Price Range

From taxi shoes to masquerade masked heels to the infamous Sophia Webster pencil heels, I have a more than unhealthy obsession of shoes.  However, there’s one thing missing.  I have no red heels.

After perusing website after website searching for the perfect pair, I found (as I so often do) too many pairs than will fit in either of my two shoe closets at this time (that is, until I figure out how I can transform my guest room into an adequate shoe room)…  I found pairs from every price range, and the next best thing to owning the shoes is sharing them with you lovely readers.

Pair them with a pair of cuffed denim jeans and a white button-up, or dress them up with a LBD and fire-engine red lipstick for the ultimate show-stopping look.  Enjoy!

Meet the modern fashionista’s equivalent to the glass slipper, the crystallized Rockstud slingback heels by Valentino.  The signature Rockstud style became huge after being introduced in Fall 2010.  They marked the beginning of a more edgier Valentino, a large change from the feminine, ladylike style of the original Valentino line.  There has been dozens and dozens (hundreds?  thousands?!) of variations of the Rockstud shoes, from flats to kitten heels to stilettos.  I own two pairs (one black and one in “poudre”), and I have to say, they are super sexy, comfortable, and also make every outfit look fashionable.

These in particular caught my eye, with crystallized leather and pyramid studs inlaid with pave crystals.  They would be the perfect complement to an evening gown, or paired with a feminine mermaid skirt.
