Rest in Peace, Oscar

The legendary fashion designer Oscar de la Renta passed away last night at the age of 82 in his Connecticut home from complications with cancer, which he had been diagnosed with in 2006.  The Dominican-American designer specialized in evening wear, having been famed with being the couturiers to dress Jackie Kennedy in the 1960’s.  He worked for luxury brands Lanvin and Balmain, as well as under his own eponymous name.
