What’s Trending: Military-inspired Fashion

Military-inspired threads are the hottest fall and winter trend, from the green and maroon colors to the gold detailing.   The military trend was evident throughout the runways for Fall/Winter 2012, with elaborate embellishments, sharp & structured silhouettes and crisp coats and capes.

Fall 2012 Runway

Although surely we would all love to buy the frocks straight off the runway, it’s often not plausible with our budgets.  Have no worries, my friends, as I’ve scoured the web to find you some of the hottest military-inspired pieces for under $100.

ModCloth

These army green boots paired with vegan leather accents and lace detailing are perfect for the upcoming snowy months.  Pair them with an oversized cardigan or a pair of cuffed boyfriend jeans to amp up the chic factor.

Mango

This Mango jacket has an amazing structure and it’s hunting khaki green is reminiscent of the fall.  It is a lightweight, yet warm staple- ideal to have in your wardrobe as the temperatures drop.

BANK

This black lace peplum dress from retailer BANK has major sex appeal, with gold button detailing and a gold zipper in the back.  Wear it with booties for a chic night out.

TopShop

If you’re anything like me, you have a lot of things to carry and no handbag will ever be big enough.  However, this TopShop find might do the trick, with its 40×42 centimeter frame.

SheInside

Show off your feminine and flirty side with this pink trench from SheInside.  Its double breasted gold buttons are charming, and it looks stunning over a short dress or a pair of leather pants.

ASOS

Military green is one of the hottest colors for this fall and winter, and this sheer ASOS blouse is a perfect representation of the trend.  Try a bandeau bra underneath for an interesting and risque twist on the trend.

Oasis

This shirtdress is more casual, and can be paired under long sleeves and leggings for a fashionable day look.  The pleats balance out the tough army look with its femininity.

What do you guys think of the military trend?
