Marco De Vincenzo, ex-Fendi fashion designer, first caught the attention of Italian Vogue editor Franca Sozzani at a show for his namesake label in 2009. His collections have been delightfully unpredictable from the usual Italian designers, instead opting for classic silhouettes with unexpected materials and construction (W Magazine says it best: think Judy Jetson goes to finishing school).

Dolce & Gabbana are known for having delicate & intricate designs, of which the details become the most important parts. These embellished sandals, complete with jewel-tone beads, yellow bananas, and forest green pompoms clearly represent their new jungle theme through each of the detailed elements, while the raffia-style heel and clasp adds a natural final touch. This winter, I bought these Rag & Bone Classic Newbury Boots. Although the heel is only 3 1/2 inches (shorter than 95% of heels in my closet), I wanted them for an everyday boot where I could do some walking while still looking chic, and adding some height.
