SHOE PORN THURSDAY: Charlotte Olympia

If you’ve been following Trends & Tribulations for a while, you are probably aware of my unhealthy obsession with a certain number of designers of the namesakes Charlotte Olympia, Sophia Webster, Nicholas Kirkwood, Giuseppe Zanotti, and Christian Louboutin.  Therefore, I try extremely hard to showcase other designers in our beloved SPT’s, basically so its not just alternating between the aforementioned 5.  Once in awhile, however, I just can’t help but show off a new shoe love.

Without further ado, I present Miss Charlotte Olympia’s ‘Mascot’ Pumps.  In a vibrant cherry red color, these are basically the epitome of classic cool, and look like they belong on the feet of our favorite It girls, like Alexa Chung or Olivia Palermo.  

Pair these lovely kicks with a pair of cropped cigarette jeans or with a crisp, structured mini skirt for an all-out preppy look.

SHOE PORN THURSDAY: Christian Louboutin

Christian Louboutin‘s aesthetic is primarily sexy, classy, and luxurious.  Many of his designs are indeed quirky, yet maintain the timeless quality, and, of course, bright red soles.

That being said, the man has a sense of humor, as is apparent in these Jolly Patent Squiggle-Heels.  It’s impossible to read that and not smile.  Interestingly enough, these heels are absolutely fitting to such a name.
