Hats are the ultimate fashion accessory, and can make an outfit quickly go from boring to chic in a matter of seconds. Not only so, they are amazing for those days when you feel like hiding out from the world (ahem, pair them with sunglasses and you’ve got a hangover fashion cure), as well as work as a quick-fix for those bad hair days.

Although I have to admit, about 6 months ago, when I thought of velvet in clothing, an image conjured up immediately of my older sister’s numerous pairs of velvet pants from the 90’s (needless to say, cringe-worthy).
