SHOE PORN THURSDAY: Vetements

“I always look to the example of Comme des Garçons for what we want to do,” Gvasalia, the head designer of Vetements, explained in a Racked interview. “Steady but slow growth while doing things their own way.”

Vetements, pronounced vet-MAHN is the cool-girl, underground brand that debuted with a boom in 2014 (despite Lorde’s twitter feed officially calling the brand “uncool” back in May).  With a selection of hoodies, quirky t-shirts, and other miscellaneous items of clothing.  Additionally, they make some badass boots.  See below.

SHOE PORN THURSDAY: Alexander McQueen

It’s no secret that Alexander McQueen and skulls go together like man buns & tattoos, or affliction jeans & bad taste (oops, did I go there?).  These black leather boots feature the trademark Swarovski-crystals embellished skull emblem on the Perspex heel of the boot.

Style these boots with a pair of cuffed (and preferably ripped) denim jeans and a tucked in, oversized white button up à la Kate Moss.  Finish with red lipstick and major backcombing for a rock’n’roll-inspired look.

Would you wear these boots?  If so, what would you pair them with?
