SHOE PORN THURSDAY: Saint Laurent

Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2016 Campaign

Saint Laurent has had a controversial last 4 years after Hedi Slimane took the reigns as creative director, immediately altering the name from Yves Saint Laurent, or YSL, to Saint Laurent, and infusing the brand with his signature sense of rock & roll style.  To add to the controversy, earlier this month, Kering Group, owner of Saint Laurent, has announced the departure of Hedi Slimane.  While there has been no word of who will take his place, there has been talk of Anthony Vaccarello last February.

Regardless, some of my favorite pieces from Saint Laurent à la Hedi have been the floral print & embroidery, inspiration circa ’90’s-grunge era.  Take, for example, these rain boots below that are utter and complete perfection.  Wear them at Coachella and every other music festival for the ultimate in boho chic.

What’s Trending: Paisley Prints

Paisley print details are taking over full blown patterns on clothing to add a dose of chic simplicity to our Spring wardrobes.  70’s paisley prints are updated with fresh florals for a light and airy look.  Take a tip from Etro, who paired the trend with white ensembles at their New York Fashion Week Spring/Summer ’13 show.

OH MY GOURGEOUSNESS...

What do you think of the paisley fashion trend?  Will you be rocking it this spring?

NYC Street Style

This past week, I had the pleasure of walking around Manhattan while photographing some interesting and very fashionable ladies.  Some of the recent street style trends I observed consist of sneakers (especially Converse), denim button-ups, leopard print, and leather.  Here’s a peek at some of my favorite shots, after the cut.
