A while back, Trends & Tribulations did this post on high-end shoe designers who created their own sketches of the Cinderella shoes for the movie that came out in March.  As mentioned, those designers designed and created the actual shoes, which were then displayed at an exhibit at the Berlin Film Festival, and at Saks Fifth Avenue’s flagship store in New York City.  Five of those designers chose to sell the shoes via special order at Saks, but only Dolce & Gabbana‘s are currently being sold to the public via Luisaviaroma.

Footwear Designers Recreate Cinderella’s Glass Slippers

Disney recently asked nine various designers, such as Charlotte Olympia, Nicholas Kirkwood, and Jimmy Choo, to recreate the Cinderella glass slipper with their own unique style in anticipation of the Cinderella film set to debut.  The best part?  In March, the designs will be sold in shops throughout the world, such as Saks Fifth Avenue in New York & Beverly Hills, Harrods in London, and Galeries Lafayette in Paris.  Click through to see all the beautiful designs and what the designers had to say about ’em, courtesy of BusinessWire.
