Beauty Review: Valentia Beauty Eye Cream & Hydration Mask

Valentia recently reached out to me to try out a few of their products – their True Glow Eye Cream, the Ultra Plumping Hydration Mask, & their Royal Rose Hydrating Serum. I happily obliged, as I’m sure you all know I am a total product junkie and LOVE trying new stuff. Plus, their beauty products are made in a cruelty-free beauty lab owned and operated by women in the USA. Their products are made using sustainable energy, are vegan-friendly, and use 98% natural ingredients.

First off, the skinny on the True Glow Eye Cream.

Valentia True Glow Eye Cream, $25

It contains the following:

Astaxanthin: The reigning King of the antioxidants – please take a bow – this little guy has 600 times more antioxidant power than Vitamin C, increases skin moisture, smoothes fine lines , and restores elasticity to the skin.

Resistem: or “Natures Miracles” as we like to call them. These plant stem cells work to repair damaged skin cells and protect the skin from stress related aging, leaving skin refreshed and renewed!

Vitamin C: This standout vitamin helps treat multiple skin care and really brightens the under eye are. Your under eye area will feel firmer and look brighter.

Organic Rosehip Oil: Dry and flaky under eyes be gone! Rosehip oil amps up skins moisture content, delivering deep nourishment and reducing the appearance of fine lines that can creep in when we’re a bit dry under the eye.

Arnica: This botanical herb has been widely used in homeopathic medicine for bruising and soreness which is why we chose it for our True Glow Eye Cream. It stimulates white blood cells to relieve dark circles and puffiness.

After using this product for about 5 weeks, there were noticeable results in my under eye area. I received numerous compliments about how fresh faced I looked (even on those days where I tossed and turned for hours the night before). Fine lines and dark circles were noticeably diminished, and my under eye area truly looked plumper.

I would recommend this product to anyone looking to fix their dark under eye circles and as an anti-aging tool to diminish fine lines and wrinkles, along with plumping the under eye area.

Now, let’s dive into their Royal Rose Hydrating Serum.

A look at the ingredients:

– Rose Damascena: One of the most nourishing and skin friendly natural oils, providing balance, moisture, and a variety of vitamins and minerals to the skin.

– Niacinamide (Vitamin B): This potent vitamin has been clinically proven to fade away hyperpigmentation, sun spots, and acne.

– Rosehip Seed Oil: Naturally rich in Vitamins C & A, these essential fatty acids work quickly to lock in skin’s moisture.

– Evening Primrose Oil: Provides light, non-oily moisture to the skin, never clogging or irritating the skin.

Hottest Make-Up Trends for Spring/Summer 2016

We love runways! The glitz, the glam, the excitement, the everything. I’ve been working as a stylist for many years now and I still get chills whenever I go backstage with my models or when I style any of my celebrity clients (you’ve got to look good when you are in sitting in the first row). And, runways are the start of all new trends we later adore, which is an additional reason absolutely love ‘em.

Another interesting aspect of runway shows is that, while clothes are the focus of every catwalk, we can also spot the ever-evolving makeup changes presented on the runway as part of the collection. Most designers say they rarely think about makeup as a separate things to the clothes, but rather tend to make it an accessory to it in order to make the whole look be cohesive, aesthetically appealing, and to the point. Still, us who are on the other side, tend to single out things about the whole presentation and then play it up in ways they are most fitting for us.

It’s wonderful that the makeup palette is seemingly broader than ever, so there is so much for everyone! I am singling out some of my favorite makeup trends for the upcoming spring and summer and I hope you’ll love them as much as I am loving them. Enjoy!

Color me blue

Blue is currently trending and it’s not going anywhere in 2016 either. Although, this time around things are getting a bit bandit-like; Chanel introduced the look. It’s perfect for both a daytime look, with a hint of blue eyeshadow, and a nighttime look, with a blue smoky eye.

Doll-like vibes

For all the girls who are channeling their inner Lolita, this makeup trend is everything! No, we are not talking red, heart-shaped lips… things are more subtle this time around. This Lolita is a free-spirited doll who decided to go bohemian on her style. The exaggerated lash look was first introduced by Louis Vuitton and it was well received. If you are daring, this is the look for your spring.

Contour me, please

With contouring being the absolute hit in 2015 (thank you Kim K!), and multiple sister-techniques emerging I am absolutely positive 2016 is going to be major when it comes to this makeup trend. Contouring, strobing, tontouring… you name it – they are all going to make your face look slimmer and your nose more defined. Although the techniques do take a lot of time, the results are simply amazing.

Femininity re-born

Plenty designers have turned to more feminine vibes by channeling the simplicity of hairstyles, colors and makeup techniques. Marchesa, DKNY, Oscar de la Renta, Zac Posen, Carolina Herera… they are all relying on the rich texture of reds, pinks and purples on the lips while staying faithful to the simplicity of eye makeup for contrast. A little bit of liquid liner on the eyes or a hint of glitter are what’s going to be our major love in the summer of 2016.

Beauty Review: OZ Naturals Hyaluronic Acid & Vitamin C Serum

I absolutely love natural products, so when OZ Naturals asked me to try out their Hyaluronic Serum recently, I agreed, and wanted to share my review with readers. First off, the serum boasts that it is a clinical strength anti-aging, anti-wrinkle serum that is proven to plump skin & fill in fine lines and wrinkles.

Some of the other lovely tidbits about the serum:

-Cruelty Free: Vegan hyaluronic acid serum does not contain alcohol, parabens or sulfates and is safe for all skin types.
-Made in the USA: In a state-of-the-art FDA registered facility.
-Made with 98% Natural Ingredients & 72% Organic Ingredients.

My thoughts:

It has a lightweight feel, with no greasy residue. It dries quickly, and gave my skin a moisture boost, and worked great underneath moisturizer. It is especially great for the months where the temperatures are high, as it is light and moisturizing. Also, it contains Vitamin C, Organic Aloe, which is great for hyper pigmentation, redness, and anti-aging.

Recently, I had the opportunity to try out goPURE Naturals Dead Sea Salt Body Scrub. Since I’m a total sucker for anything natural & organic, I happily obliged & agreed to review my thoughts on the product. The company goPURE Naturals began by a mother named Erin Keyan after she discovered how many chemicals and toxic ingredients were in so many beauty products. Her goal for goPURE Naturals was to develop a brand that women could trust to contain only the purest and natural ingredients, while making them look and feel their best.

This Sea Salt Body Scrub is made with 100% real Dead Sea salt and is infused with 21 different minerals that are essential to proper skin function, such as Apricot, Avocado, Almond, and Chamomile Oil. The scrub immediately made my skin feel super soft and smooth. If you have sensitive skin, I would recommend shaving 24 hours before or after you use this stuff, as it can cause irritation. Overall, I love the way the body scrub made my skin look and feel, and I would recommend it!
