The much-anticipated Google Glass went on sale last Monday, June 23. Although they retail for $1,500 normally, the Diane Von Furstenberg costs $1,800 (although it costs only $152 to make).
The DVF | Made For Glass collection is on sale for a limited time, and is available in five colors: black, teal, plum, brown and white. Each pair comes equipped with removable shades (remember flip frames, anyone?), a mono earbud, and case.
Considering DVF’s Spring 2013 collection show at NYFW in 2012, in which her and Google co-founder Sergey Brin showed Google Glass for the first time ever on models on the runway, it is not surprising that DVF would be the first designer to unveil Google Glass for sale.
The video above shows DVF & Isabelle Olsson as they chat about the evolution of the Made for Glass collaboration.
They are on sale at net-a-porter.com and Google. Mr. Porter, Net-a-Porter’s male equivalent, also put t also put three models of Google Glass for men for sale on their website, priced at $1,650.
Would you purchase a pair of these bad boys? What do you think of the design?
