It’s official: Tangerine Tango is moving out of the way to make room for Emerald (aka 17-5641 in Pantone terms). The runner-ups included similar hues in Monaco Blue, Dusk Blue and Grayed Jade. This aquatic and calming color will look amazing paired with soft lavenders, monochromatic colors, and various shades of eggshell whites and linens.
“It speaks to the practicality that we are seeing in society,” Pantone’s Executive Director, Leatrice Eiseman, told WWD. “You have to realize there is still concern out there for the economy,” adding, “people want dependably stable colors.”
In honor of this emerging color, I’ve picked out a few favorite pieces in the shade. See the picks below!
How will you be wearing the color this year?
Thanks for the update – I absolutely love green…almost all shades of it…I have to say though I’m not a big fan of the Harem Pants – do you wear them? I can’t seem to get into them…

I do like harem pants, but I tend to go for the ones with less of a drop in the middle. It makes them easier to wear while still looking polished. They’re definitely not for everyone though. Thanks for the comment! Have a lovely night darling.
