lena dunham fashion inspirationLena Dunham is one of those people that I am bewildered with for all that she does- acting, playwrights, directing…  She’s a definite modern woman with aspirations, deep thoughts, and an adventurous, and eclectic style that she often takes risks with, and doesn’t offer apologies when doing so.  Therefore, she’s a no-brainer for today’s fashion inspiration, which models clothes based on her indie, sexual, and carefree styles that she chooses to rock.

Today’s hottest socialites and fashion favorites include the lovely Olivia Palermo.  With her long resume in fashion, from working for Diane Von Furstenburg and in the accessories department at Elle to designing a shoe for Stuart Weitzman to (sigh) founding her own fashion and style blog, which includes street style shots of her coveted looks, it’s no surprise her style is coveted by fashionistas everywhere.  Her signature style always includes black (a native New York, what do you expect?), often paired with a pair of sunnies and sky-high heels.  A perfect mix of edge and class.

Although everyone is currently fascinated by Michelle Obama’s risky and classic fashion choices, it’s hard to forget Jackie O, the infamous First Lady who was known for having immaculate fashion sense.  Channel her look with a ’50′s inspired dress with an A-line cut, and embellished pumps.  Add a pair of gloves to finish off the ultimate classic beauty look.

It’s no surprise that Lana Del Rey has quickly become a modern fashion icon, with her signature pout and classic style, and fashion brands everywhere have taken notice (see the Mulberry Del Rey bag, duh!). Channel her retro look with a A-line style dress and cropped wool jacket.  Complete the look with a pair of pumps and cat-eye eye frames (and don’t forget a swipe of red lipstick!).

Vika Gazinskaya is a Russian-born designer who found fame from being a street style starlet, and one we will surely be hearing more about.  With her signature short, choppy blonde locks and sophisticated, yet modern style, she is a huge fashion inspiration for many.  To channel her signature look, combine unique prints and basics, adding a cinched belt to give you an hourglass shape, circa 1950′s.  Check out the photos from her upcoming line below.
